Michelle and I went to Duluth, MN this past week to pick up a new addition to our household. We've been looking for another dog for a while, and a friend said he had a few of his sled dogs for sale. I wanted a dog that I could go scootering with, so off to Duluth we went.

We chose a 3 year old male called Doodah. He's an excellent dog with a very good disposition, but his feet just don't hold up to the long distance runs that John Stetson makes in races and arctic expeditions. I think that with some training (for both he and I) we'll make a good team.
On the drive home Michelle and I decided that yelling "Doodah, Doodah!" in the neighborhood and at the dog park would be silly, so we decided to rename him Couda, which sounds enough alike that we think he'll still understand.

We've been through Duluth many times on the way to the North Shore of Lake Superior, or to Eric's place in Northern Wisconsin, but there were a lot of things we wanted to do there. We decided to spend some time and do a few of them this time. Here's some pictures:
